Last May, about one year ago, we started in METALOCUS in a collaboration with TASCHEN, launching a competition in which we were looking for the best house in the 20th century to our readers and, besides, we celebrated 9,000 Facebook fans and our inclusion in 5% of companies most worldwide visited on LinkedIn. Our growth continues forward exponentially, we have more than doubled our presence in Social Networks last year and once again, the spring and the sun bring us energy enough to repropose a similar collaboration with the world renowned publisher TASCHEN.

While last year's competition was a success boh in participation an in awards, this year is not going to be less. Again, we want to thank all our readers for their loyalty with awards as good as the last about TASCHEN. The competition has as prizes several reference books ranging from monographs of architects with worldwide recognition, both Pritzker Prize, including Richard Meier or Zaha Hadid, the theorical book Project Japan or PreFab Houses book on manufactured houses on which is getting a special interest. And with all this plus the raffle for a copy of Small Architecture Now! among all participants.

Dates.

- Images can be sent when coming out the competition on http://www.metalocus.es.
- The contest will start at 16.00, on 16 May 2014.
- The contest will close at 24.00 pm on 27 June 2014.
- The winner will be announced throughout the day, 30 June 2014.

Second prize.- Project Japan. Metabolism Talks, Rem Koolhaas, Hans Ulrich Obrist.
Third prize.- PreFab Houses, Peter Gössel.

We want that everybody has possibilities until the last day of the competition, so this year we have introduced a new, among all the participants, no matter how much retweets you achieve, it is going to be done a raffle.

Competition task.-

¿Who is the bes architect, alive or dead, master or youth, from the last century? This 2014 year will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the start of the World War I, and because of that we want to do a review in METALOCUS about architecture in this period. Each participant must submit an image of its favorite work of the considerate the best architect with built work between 1914 and 2014. The participants also should identify the architect, the building location (city and country at least) and the year of completion. Each image consist of at leas 700px wide.

How to participate?.-

1.- First of all, follow METALOCUS in Facebook and Twitter. We want you on our side.

2.- Start thinking, who is, for you, the best architect with built work between 1914 and 2014? It seems to be a difficult decision.

3.- You get it? Good, now you have to choose the building you think is the best one he or she has designed. Be sure to know about the building name, location and date of completion.

4.- Now, choose an image of the building and send it us by email with all the previously request information (architect name, building name, location and date of completion) to our email: metalocus@metalocus.es

5.- Check our Twitter page and if you can see your image you are in. Start retweet it!

All the images will be published by @METALOCUS under the hashtag #taschenmetalocus2014.

The three images whose addition of RT and FAV are the bigger ones will be the three awarded in the 2014 TASCHEN-METALOCUS COMPETITION.

The winner image will determine the BEST ARCHITECT in the METALOCUS readers' opinion between the 1914 and 2014 years, about we will do a special article. We encourage specially to all the participants to submit young architects, maybe competing among others as Mies Van der Rohe or Le Corbusier. Who knows who will win!

Among all the participants in the competition, except for the winners of the three first prizes, it is going to be done a raflle.

Reglas.-

1.- Las imágenes se subirán por los miembros de METALOCUS, lo antes posible, a la cuenta de Twitter @METALOCUS, pudiendo sufrir una dilación máxima de 3 horas. Las horas computables son las horas de oficina Madrid (GMT+01:00), a saber: de 9 a 14 h. y de 16 a 20 h.

2.- Podrán participar todos los que manden una imagen según las condiciones anteriores y siguientes.

3.- El concurso es internacional y puede participar cualquier persona, con las condiciones planteadas en el punto 4.

4.- El envío del premio al ganador corre por cuenta de TASCHEN. Asegúrate de enviarnos bien los datos de tu dirección para que TASCHEN no tenga ningún problema a la hora de remitir los premios a los ganadores.

5.- Para participar tanto en el concurso como en el sorteo será necesario seguir a METALOCUS en Twitter y Facebook .

6.- Cada participante podrá enviar una o varias imágenes con la/s que determine su decisión personal sobre un arquitecto.

7.- Podrá aparecer en varias ocasiones el mismo arquitecto, pero siempre con distintas obras. Es decir, si has visto que se ha publicado la Ville Savoye de Le Corbusier, adelante, envíanos la Unidad de Habitación de Marsella,... pero nunca de nuevo la Ville Savoye.

8.- El sorteo se realizará entre todos los participantes del concurso, que tendrán que cumplir con el punto 5. para poder participar. El sorteo se realizará entre todos los participantes excepto los ganadores de los tres primeros premios.

9.- Twitter no tiene ningún vínculo con este concurso, tan solo es la plataforma soporte. Cualquier responsabilidad corresponde a METALOCUS y a los participantes (en la aportación de las imágenes). Por tanto Twitter queda explícitamente exonerado de cualquier reclamación que pudiese surgir.

10.- El Concurso podrá quedar desierto si los participantes no consiguen al menos 10 retweet para su imagen.

11.- No serán válidas las participaciones de usuarios cuya cuenta de Twitter no tenga al menos 20 seguidores y como mínimo 50 tweets en el último mes.

12.- METALOCUS es el único que puede subir imágenes y darles un hashtag para que resulten válidas dentro del concurso.
