Four years after his last production, ‘M.I.A’ is taken from the 'Trust' the last album by producer and songwriter SOHN.

SOHN further explores a sound that succeeded in the electronic and noir-pop spaces, and now gives a new step and explores deeper roots in folk structures.

The single is the third song from his album Trust. Entitled ‘M.I.A.’, it is noir and surrealist from its first chords and is accompanied by a striking video from Brazilian director duo Vira-Lata.

“’M.I.A.’ is a dedicated to the partners of those with depression – the ones who hold it down while their loved ones may be missing-in-action whilst suffering. I speak from experience of having a partner who held our world together whilst I struggled to see my way out of darkness, and this is my thank you to all who support their loved ones in times of trouble.”

Lyrics.-

You said don’t ever take it back
Just turn into the light and let the wolves attack
Cause this is our last stand
You gave me good I gave you bad
Throw a penny in the wishing well
You make me mad
Well I was struggling, sad

Oh now I see
What’s in front of what’s in front of me
Slow down I see
What’s in front of what’s in front of me
You took over when I was M.I.A.
Riding the horses to the
promised plains
You hold it down hold it down
Never once I ever lived alone
Warm hands and I was overthrown
Hold it down hold it down

You said you’d never take it back
You’d turn into something you would never crack
Cause this is our last stand
But you gave me good I gave you bad
Threw a penny in the wishing well
You made me glad
When I was struggling, sad
