The competition, sponsored by AIA Urban Priorities Committee in Detroit, encouraged creative ideas that would spark imagination and conversation about the future of Detroit and inform the city’s planning. Atelier WHY’s “Forest” achieves physical, visual, cultural and historical connection with the river through a mixture of old and new, natural and manmade, dense and open elements that invite flexible public uses.

From now until January 15th, 2013 you have the opportunity to tells us what you think of the design submissions for the 2012 Detroit Riverfront Competition. Voting is not limited to any number of individual entries; so take your time, check out the possibilities for Detroit's Riverfront and vote for any designs that you like.
The winning designer will receive $250 and a gift package from The Detroit Shoppe. The top 3 vote getters will recieve a copy of the book detailing the competition and process due to be released in 2013.
