ECUMENÓPOLIS - COAC audiovisual program presents for next Monday, coinciding with the 7th European Landscape Biennial, the movie: "Un Architecte dans le paysage". A documentary on the work of one of the most important figures of the current landscape: Georges Descombes, led by Swiss architect and filmmaker, originally from Argentina, Carlos Lopez.

Halfway between landscape and contemporary art, the work of the Swiss architect Georges Descombes remains largely secret. Very prestigious in the world of landscaping, especially in the United States and the Netherlands, he nevertheless keeps away from the current architectural scene. Carlos Lopez's documentary sets out to discover the creations of Descombes in Switzerland and elsewhere in Europe accompanied by the same architect and some of his colleagues, as the Dutchman Herman Hertzberger and French landscape architect Michel Corajoud. In exploring these landscapes and cityscapes, new questions about the relationship between people and projects completed, or the place of architecture (both international prestige constructions as the most mundane of our cities) in our days. Along the way, the path of Georges Descombes unique and thought, as original as inspiring, fascinated by his huge achieved today. Georges Descombes who has worked with, among others, the artist of "land art" Richard Long.
