The decision should be taken, like many other times in Life, as fast as possible: a young guy with lots of illusion, without any Erasmus made before, and with great expectations based in an amazing journey.

Years in Architecture University had been finished, but not the learning and the huge desire to live and feel all the rich and different thoughts that other cultures can offer to oneself.

Two options: stay in Spain with good work conditions; or jump to a new country, with just a Grant and the good wishes and love of the people one cares, cause, without them, that would have been more difficult.

Of course, I chose the second one.

So, I took my way to Denmark, where they offered me the opportunity to start this new trip… How much I don´t regret of my option, how intense every moment. 3 months that changed my way of thinking and get what I had dream so many times before. Sometimes hard, I missed people, working so much (I hope they do not take advantage of you), but feeling so good.

After this experience, I landed in The Netherlands, where the trip followed… The knowledge and self esteem I got in university through years, began to show me how useful they had been.

My situation was, in some aspects, collapsed. As soon as I was finished in The Netherlands, without no options to follow and, what is more important, personal problems, I lived in Madrid for a year… It was, anyway, nice in many aspects and even one of the most important things in my life happened.

I had again the chance to move myself, my place was somewhere else… And this next step was Austria, where I still live.

I will write the articles in a transversal way, matching feelings an architecture shots through the cities I have been living, using as a base buildings, open spaces, landscapes… Any good reference that can show you my interest in knowing about this World. Pictures that make reference to the countries I lived before, would be in black and white, as a nice remember.

To begin, I choose the train station, which in any city I have been was the first who told me “hello” and gave me the key to follow my dreams.

Although the first step was the airport, train is more bucolic, a slower transport which write feelings harder; the one in Copenhagen, close to the city centre and neighbour of the oldest amusement park in Europe; the one in Rotterdam and also the one in Delft, that at that time as many of the train stations in The Netherlands were under construction; and also the one in Vienna, a great hole, Südbahnhof, which will be finished for 2015, and Westbahnhof, that has been kept as it used to (the old building) and lay now between two huge buildings, while the hours keep running in the old nice clock embedded in the stone walls…

Hasta luego,

IN TREATMENT - METALOCUS.
