Isabel Roger Sánchez and Daniel González López of DG estudio, are the architects of a project that tries to give a quality return to the impact of the image of Zalamero Ruzafa Bar in Valencia, Spain.

The programme takes advantage of the limits of the space to organize the server spaces at one end, through programmatic bands and maximize the reduced scale of the interior space.

Taking advantage of a small difference in level with the side street, to highlight the line of tiles from where the bar begins.
The spatial structure of the accumulators, designed by DG estudio, consists of a large wooden wardrobe that differentiates and relates the kitchen from the table area. Becoming the main actor in the new gastronomic scenery. This element fragments and reappears on the edges of the service area, giving material continuity throughout the perimeter.

From outside to inside, The Bar has three large windows with black metal frames that frame the visuals inside the bar. A large urban showcase that opposes the solidity of the rear wooden wardrobe. Between the two, the bar table area sits between the light blue floor tiles and the lighter colored baseboard.

A subtle intervention that enhances a corner, and manages to combine the three internal actions: store, cook and work.

Project description by DG estudio

In this project we are in charge of creating a new and powerful image for Zalamero Ruzafa Bar.

A space of small dimensions that we transform thanks to two elements that help us achieve the objectives that we set ourselves as the starting point of the action: get the maximum storage space and the maximum kitchen and work space.

A large wooden wardrobe becomes the main protagonist of the new space.

This continuous storage element that runs throughout the premises helps us delimit the two large areas that make up the space, the living room and kitchen area of the storage area and bathrooms.

The other great element that greets us upon entering the premises is the kitchen, made up of two parallel bars. An interior bar in which the cooking area is located and a second bar, more decorative in nature, which serves as a support for the cooking area and in turn serves as a separating element between the kitchen and the living room.
