Five multidisciplinary teams of architects, landscapers and econonomistas study the territory to extract the full potential of the city of Bordeaux.
Proposals for this spectacular growth of houses have been designed by five teams whose proposals are set out in Arc en Rêve until November 21. The teams are: "51N4E + GRAU", "Alexandre Chemetoff & Associés", "L’AUC", "Lacaton & Vassal" y "OMA". Among all pose five visions that generate a metropolitan strategy aims to solve the problems of mobility and the adaptation of new types of housing.

The team provides a narrative and sensitive approach by finding the values of the landscape of Bordeaux, where the diversity of habitats at different scales are expressed. They propose an interaction of the horizontal and vertical density which nature is infiltrated. .../...

Sensitive and contextual, the approach developed by Alexandre Chemetoff & Associates is based on a careful analysis of urban and landscape situations typical of Bordeaux around pointing their geographic, natural, topographical ... peculiarities. As if all the places had a history and quality that we must maintain, extend, adjust, the landscape as preexisting identity card. .../...

How to prepare a city to make the jump to the category of cities millionaire? When asked "what does metropolis" L'AUC members try to reduce the dichotomy between metropolitan-wide projects and the production of ordinary city. For Lacaton & Vassal, housing is conceived from the interior of the more intimate, smaller space for life together, from the public space at the bottom of the building, to the neighborhood or places accessible only by looking. The interior is near the outside through glass facades with access to balconies, terraces, winter gardens. All spaces discharged to the outside. .../...
Yesterday we published here the proposal by OMA and its Bordeaux Vision, a proposal that offers views of three Bordeaux places that vary depending on the conditions of population, scale and density.
