On the 20th of February, 2013 it was exactly 10 years to the day that it held the first PechaKucha Night. The rest is history.

10 years ago, in February of 2003, the very first PechaKucha Night was held. After coming to the realization that architects tend to talk way too much, Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham architecture  devised a lecture format that ended up revolutionizing the way we present. During 10 years, PechaKucha 20×20 has inspired creatives from 600 cities (Madrid also, Paloma Hernaiz y Jaime Oliver) to informally gather in dimly lit spaces around the globe. The beauty of PechaKucha Night is that anyone can participate – as long as they stick to the 20 image, 20 second format – and it is only the 10th year anniversary of PechaKucha and its 600 citites!

Congratulations, Pecha Kucha, ten years is nothing!
