In this final call for entries to Mugak/ 2025, which will deploy its programming across the three Basque territories, the program is seeking activities to be held between October and November 2025 and related to the conceptual framework of this Biennial, whose theme is "Castles in the Air, or How to Build Utopia Today."
The call for the International Architecture Biennial of Euskadi, which will be open until May 10 to any individual or entity, will open the possibility of submitting programs of talks or conferences, presentations of research and publications, visits, exhibitions, audiovisual pieces, performances, actions, or any other open and free cultural activity. All of these must be properly funded, managed, and produced by the individuals or entities submitting their applications.

Mugak/ 2025: the International Architecture Biennial of Euskadi.
Mugak/ 2025 will deploy its programming across the three Basque territories. Therefore, having a confirmed venue for the activity submitted for this call will be positively considered. However, the Biennial organizers, depending on the content and format of the selected proposal, may offer the option of using one of the available locations in the three capital cities. These include the three ephemeral architecture projects selected under the Onsite Mugak/ call, the Basque Institute of Architecture, and the Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz branches of the Official College of Basque-Navarrese Architects.
Now, following the Onsite Mugak/ call and the Open Mugak/ call to boost cultural activities, this third and final Off Mugak/ will conclude the entire Biennial program for this fall. All the rules, selection criteria, and additional information can be found on the Biennial Mugak/ website.
