The office building has 6 floors. It takes in the new installations of the architecture studio of Ventura y Asociados Arquitectos in its first floors, the rest floors are dedicated to other companies.

The Panamanian firm Ventura y Asociados Architects has designed an office building to locate its facilities among others. It is a modular construction in which the concrete is used as the main material on the outside together with the glass.

The entrance to the building is through a double-glazed lobby on its front, covered by wooden panels and backed by a core of vertical circulations composed of a set of wooden stairs that embrace a panoramic elevator with structure in aged steel protected with double expanded mesh of the same finish.

Description of project by Ventura y Asociados Architects

In Panama City on the Via Grecia (sector of Carmen) there is a modern building of 6 floors, located in a mediator lot paramented with the neighboring constructions, which by its scale dialogues with the citizen and the surrounding urban context contributing to the correct urban fabric from the city. The interior of this building houses the facilities of Ventura y Asociados Architects in the first two floors and in the next three offices occupied by friendly companies, in addition to the access lobby, located on the ground floor, common for the entire building.

Formally, it is a simple and modular architecture conditioned by its concrete structure that by means of a matrix of overlapping columns generates a rhythmic composition between horizontal and vertical in the 4 facades, this body of concrete and glass rests harmoniously on a plinth composed of a linear pattern, a skin of vertically arranged steel elements that contain the parking lots generating a sense of privacy and respect between the building and its context.

The entrance to the building is through a double glazed lobby on its front, covered by wooden panels and backed by a vertical circulation core composed of a set of wooden stairs that embrace a panoramic elevator with structure in aged steel protected with double expanded mesh of the same finish.

In the first stop is the Workshop, led by Jaime Ventura Jr., manager of the design department, the work stations of the team of architects, meeting rooms and support areas such as the printing center, dining room, cafeteria, health services and complementary As a backdrop to this floor there is a stone and bamboo garden that surrounds the perimeter wall.

On the first stop, a mezzanine was developed with the administration, archiving, accounting, bidding and budgeting offices, the main meeting room and the office of Jaime Ventura Sr., president of the company, as well as the office of administrative management of projects -VA project and Ventura interiors-. Two essential accessories for Ventura y Asociados Architects.

In VA we are convinced that the function is the most important of the architecture, but function without sensitivity is only construction, so although the spatial distribution obeys the architectural program, which meticulously complies with the conditions imposed by the need, it was not neglected in no time the image of the building that respects the materials of construction and its process, highlighting the aesthetic properties of the same: concrete, wood, glass and steel were combined in a balanced, proportionate and orderly way to give form and identity to this work.
