Inter Milan's plans for its new headquarters away from San Siro are becoming clearer after the presentation, a few days ago, of new images for the new stadium planned by Populous in Rozzano.

The announcement was made last week in response to the city's decision not to approve the proposal presented in 2021, called "The Cathedral" which had been planned as a facility shared with AC Milan and surrounded by a new development dedicated to the entertainment.
Since then, both clubs have been looking for separate venues. The new Inter stadium, designed by Populous,  will have capacity for 70,000 fans with a "sports city" and reception areas for fans 365 days a year, with new garden spaces open to the surrounding park. It will have excellent connections with the center of Milan, integrating with the existing infrastructure. No official construction schedules have yet been proposed.

The project aims to focus on the ideas and needs of fans, and to this end, a survey has been launched in which the entire Nerazzurri community will participate.

"We are proud to be working with Inter on this incredible project, and we share a joint aim of creating a state-of-the-art, sustainable stadium that the club and its fans will be proud to call home."
Declan Sharkey.

The project is the second proposal that Populous is currently developing in Europe, which joins the expansion of Manchester City FC's Etihad Stadium. On the other hand, AC Milan is developing its project with a capacity for 70,000 seats in San Donato with the Manica studio. Meanwhile, the San Siro will be saved from the wrecking ball after being protected this summer for its "historical importance".
