The automobile industry (not the car, another issue that we could also talk), not only pollute, also,it waterproofs territory, with obsolete structures that are abandoned, because "not profitable" (?) their recycling. If anything differentiates Europe from U.S., but not always, it is the brutality with which urban structures, of great complexity and length, are stranded, during years and decades without recovery plans. It involves the generation of urban detritus in the United States clearly unsustainable, in Europe although sometimes occur, never has this gigantic scale.
The video that we bring today refers to one of the few structures still standing in the former plant of the Packard, automobile factory in Detroit. Years of neglect have led to massive decomposition of the factory which was designed by Albert Kahn. Albert Kahn. Despite the state of neglect for Allan Hill the building has a beauty especial and also is the place I calls home.

The video belongs to a series of short films to explore the notion of that home, what makes them, how they represent us, why we need them? There's no place like home. It's where we live, work and dream. It's our sanctuary and our refuge. We can love them or hate them. It can be just for the night or for the rest of our lives. But whoever we may be, we all have a place we call home. We're always on the lookout for dwellings of all sorts.
