This temporary shelter is located in a deep forest in Sapporo, Japan designed by Hidemi Nishida Studio, and seeks to be such a base for winter activities. Built only with wood and plastic its elegant appearance is softened within the trees.

Raised over the ground with a wooden structure, tries to be higher than the snow level. This decision turn the shelter into a levitated building over the ground, minimising its impact on it.

"This project is a temporary shelter in the wild winter forest. It leads people to gather, and number of events happened there. Sometimes, local student makes a party at there and sometimes local kindergarten children came there and had a lunch. This is a cozy base for winter activities."
