It can be visited at the Canal de Isabel II exhibition hall a compilation of the works of artist Dionisio González, which reflects with his drawings about the cities he has visited throughout his career. With these spectacular images he confronts utopia projects with its surrounding.

After the publication in METALOCUS in several occasions the last exhibitions by Dionisio González, this time we bring you a piece of the interesting work which he has done during the last years, through the Comunidad de Madrid and in collaboration with the Instituto de la Cultura y las Artes del Ayuntamiento de Sevilla.

The exhibition, broader than the previous ones, collects works from his first series as 'Inter-Acciones' until other more current as 'Le Corbusier. En algún lugar, ninguna parte'.

The Canal de Isabel II exhibition hall bring us more than 30 photographs, several videos, a video-installation and a part of the work presented to the Bienal of Venize 2011, from his serie 'Venecia. Las Horas Claras'. This work is focused in the cities he has visited during his career and about what he reflections. Besides it can be visited in the underground floor a map with the cities which appear in the exhibition.

It is remarkable the catalogue edited about the Madrid exhibition called 'En algún lugar, ninguna part' which contains the works exposed at the Capital besides an interview between the exhibition curator and the artist.

Dionisio González (Gijón, Spain. 1965) is senior lecturer at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Sevilla. Throughout his artistic career he has received numerous awards such as the Leonardo Scholarship, BBVA Foundation for Researchers and Cultural Creators (2016/2018), National Prize for Engraving, Museum of Contemporary Spanish Engraving (2015) or Winner of European Month of Photography Arendt Award, Luxembourg, Paris, Berlin, the Pilar Juncosa Prize and Sotheby's of the Fundació Pilar i Joan Miró or the Arendt European Photography Award in 2013.

His work is present in museums such as the Reina Sofía National Art Center Museum, Madrid, the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, USA. or the National Center of Contemporary Art of Paris as well as in important private collections. He has also participated in the ARCO art fair in Madrid. He has exhibited his works by countless galleries and art centers located in cities around the world as the Cultural Center of Spain in Mexico; JE JU BIENNALE. South Korea; Galerie Richard, New York, United States; Taubert Contemporary, Berlin, Germany; ProjectB, Milan, Italy; Katz Contemporary, Zurich, Switzerland; Maison Europenne of the Phothographie, Paris, France or The Colums Art Center for Visual and Performing Arts, Seoul, South Korea, among others.
