Emphasizing the characteristic structure of the project, based on ceramic walls with vertical axes of arches, the studio creates a new façade that combines openwork brick and solid brick for the ties and the formation of lattices.

The building of Cercle Calongí society, inaugurated in 1924, is located in the main square of Calonge old town. The organization has recently ceded part of the building to the City Council to be renewed as a cultural public facility. The assignment includes the concert hall and a patio, with access from the back street.
The main challenge is to provide a new access through the courtyard and change its character to represent a public facility, offering a new facade towards a new square. Where the backdrop was, a large door is opened to connects directly to the patio, favoring versatility and being able to hold events that mix the interior with the exterior.
The heritage building is characterized by a succession of ceramic walls with three vertical axes of arcades. The new façade uses this concept in a contemporary way, combining the use of perforated and solid bricks and a composition of lattices in openings.
