vgz arquitectura y diseño

vgz arquitectura y diseño was founded in 2003 by Verónica González Zavala as a boutique workshop. He works on projects of different scales, with a focus on integral and sustainable development.

Verónica González Zavala. Graduated in Architecture at the Universidad Iberoamericana; she worked a couple of years for an office and studied his master's degree at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago, a school based on the modernism of Mies Van Der Rohe, where he won the Henry Adams Award.

She worked for Helpern Architects and had the opportunity to collaborate on projects for the city of New York, such as the design to reactivate a lower Manhattan secondary damaged by the effects of 9/11. When she returned to Mexico he taught at the Universidad Iberoamericana.

In 2003 she founded vgz architecture and design in Mexico City. Since then she has made more than 40 projects built at different scales. In 2015 she received the Icons of Design award for residential architecture for the V9 house granted by Architectural Digest. The same house participated in the itinerant exhibition Architecture and Light organized by the College of Architects.​
