DFT Architects is an architectural studio based in Barcelona, a result of the merger of Fabré & Torras (since 1979) and Dilmé & Fabré (since 1988). The new studio is led by the four founding architects: Lluís Dilmé Romagós, an architect from the ETSAB-UPC and founding partner of Dilmé&Fabré 1988, Xavier Fabré Carreras, an architect from the ETSAB-UPC and founding partner of Dilmé&Fabré 1988, Mercè Torras Colell, an architect from the ETSAB-UPC and founding partner of Fabré &Torras 1979 and Jordi Fabré Carreras, -an architect from the ETSAB-UPC and founding partner of Fabré &Torras 1979.
The four of them have gathered, on the one hand, a solid experience in Architecture for the performing arts and music - Auditoriums, Theatres and Operas - as well as in the rehabilitation and restoration of Architectural Heritage, and, on the other hand, an extraordinary knowledge and experience in Institutional Architecture: University, Judicial, Penitentiary and Transport Architecture.
