Clotet, Paricio and Associats
Clotet, Paricio & Assoc.SLP. Barcelona-based architecture studio founded in 1984 by Lluís Clotet and Ignacio Paricio y Ansuategui.
Lluís Clotet born in Barcelona in 1941. He obtained the title of architect in 1965 from the Superior Technical School of Architecture of Barcelona. At this school, he has been a drawing teacher from 1977 to 1984, a visiting teacher at the PFC classroom, and a teacher of Projects I and II from 1997 to 2000. In 1964 he founded Studio PER with the architects Pep Bonet, Cristian Cirici, and Oscar Tusquets. With the latter, he collaborates on multiple projects until 1983. In 1984 he associates with Ignacio Paricio until 2008. He is also a founding partner of the firm BD Ediciones de Diseño. His works have been distinguished with several awards: Golden Lion for the best-illustrated book at the XII International Exhibition of Venice (1965); FAD Interior Design Award for the best intervention of the years 1965, 1972, and 2005; FAD Architecture Award for the best building of the years 1978, 1979, 1988 and 1989; 1980 National Restoration Award; Delta de Oro for the best industrial design of the years 1974, 1979 and 1980; Construmat Award for the best-built work of the years 1991, 1999 and 2007; National Prize for Architecture, Government of Catalonia, in 1999; Decade Award 2009; National Architecture Award, Ministry of Public Works, in 2010.
Ignacio Paricio and Ansuategui. Graduated in 1969 from the ETSAB and professor of construction in 1981. In 1984 he founded with Lluís Clotet, Clotet, Paricio & Assoc.SLP. Among his works, we find the Bank of Spain (1989) in Girona or the remodeling of the Convent of the Angels (1992) in Barcelona.
