Akhøj
Kasper Akhøj (Copenhagen, 1976) works with film, sculpture and photography. He studied at the Städelschule in Frankfurt, Germany and at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. The artist completed the Whitney Independent Study Program, in New York, in 2009.
Recent solo exhibitions include Welcome (To The Teknival) at Künstlerhaus Stuttgart, in Germany; and Overgaden—Institute for Contemporary Art in Copenhagen, Denmark. His work has also been shown at MINI/Goethe-Institut Curatorial Residecies Ludlow 38, New York, USA; Art in General, New York, USA; and the 28th São Paulo Biennial, Brazil. In 2010 he was an artist-in-residence at the 29th São Paulo Biennial, as well as at the Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Centre in Istanbul, Turkey.
