Lana Del Rey released "Norman Fucking Rockwell!" Two years ago, this album places her as one of the greatest composers of the decade making her see that her work resists the passage of time. This artist has built and created a sound and lyrical world of her own. Following this line, "Chemtrails over the Country Club", her latest album sounds sonic though a little more folk and intimate.
This album opens with "White Dress". As always, the first song is captivating. Everything is whispered, even the instruments, as if their music and voice reach us from afar. It is an autobiographical song that explains that moment in which Lana decided to dedicate herself to music, when she was 19, she was a waitress and the "White Stripes were the most". It is supernatural to hear it in that sharper, almost broken register. But precisely, it is that apparently weak voice, which turns this theme into a major piece, marking that she is who gave way to Lorde or Billie Eilish.

Sun, stare, don’t care with my head
And my hands thinking of a simpler time
Like sun Ra, feel small
But I had it under control every time
When I was a waitress
Wearing a white dress
Look how I do this
Look how I got this
When I was a waitress
Working the night shift
You were my man
I felt like I got this
Down at the men in music business conference
Down in Orlando, I was only nineteen
Down at the men in music business conference
I only mention it ‘cause it was such a scene
And I felt seen
Summer, sizzling
Listening to jazz out on thе lawn
Listening to White Stripes
Whеn they were white-hot
Listening to rock all day long
When I was a waitress
Wearing a tight dress in the night heat
I wasn’t famous
Just listening to Kinks, holdin’ on to the beat
Like, look how I got this
Look how I got this just singin’ the street
Down at the many music business conferences
I felt free ‘cause I was only nineteen
Such a scene
Summer, summer it’s almost gone
We were talking ‘bout life, we were sitting outside till dawn
But I would still go back if I could do it all again all fine
‘Cause it made me feel, it made me feel like a god
‘Cause it made me feel, it made me feel like a god
‘Cause it made me feel, it made me feel like a god
When I was a waitress
Wearing a tight dress
Look how I do this
Look how I got this
When I was a waitress
Wearing a tight dress
Look how I do this
Look how I got this
It made me feel, made me feel like a god
It kinda makes me feel like maybe I was better, oh
It made me feel, made me feel like a god
It kinda makes me feel like maybe I was better, oh
