By mixing traditional photography and digital manipulation, in the series "Flying Houses" Chéhère performs a surreal vision of different buildings of Paris, photographed on a journey together with Albert Lamorisse, Laurent Chéhère through the neighborhoods of Belleville and Menilmontant.
Isolating constructs its urban context and freeing them from their environment makes kites fly as if it were. They appear with the clothes hanging houses, with their pots, burning, ... like you its activity should be placed in a parallel space. a proposal from funny and witty and metaphorical.
Chéhère Laurent (Paris, 1972) is a former award-winning advertising and a tireless traveler. Shanghai to Valparaiso, La Paz or Lhasa in Bamako in Bogota, he feeds his imagination and gives us his view of the world. He loves to explore the cities, suburbs, country as he likes to explore all fields of photography, reportage conceptual image.
Laurent Chéhère, exhibited the series "Flying Houses" at Dock en Seine City of Fashion and Design in June 2012, where it won the Special Prize. The series is presented in China at the International Festival of Photography 2012 Pingyao.
