Zigzag arquitectura, is a Madrid-based architecture firm established by Bernardo Angelini and David Casino, in 2005.
Bernardo Angelini is an architect, Master in Advanced Architectural Projects from ETSAM and professor of projects at URJC. Previously, he also taught at IE University and UPSAM.
David Casino is Doctor in Architect, Master in Advanced Architectural Projects from ETSAM and professor of projects at the same school. He previously taught at UEM, IE University and ESNE.
Their work has been recognized with the Architecture Award at the XI BEAU Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism 2011 and other prestigious distinctions, among which are: AR + d Awards for Emerging Architecture 2011 (Highly Commended Project); Ugo Rivolta European Architecture Awards 2011 (Progetto Segnalato); V Enor Architecture Awards 2011 (Finalist); III Prize Arquía Próxima 2012 (Finalist); Triennal Architecture of Neccesity 2013 (Finalist); XVI COACAN Architecture Awards 2014 (Special Public Prize) and XIII BEAU Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism 2016 (Finalist I Call for Research, Product Category). It has recently obtained the First Prize in the competition for the new UC3M Biomedical Sciences building. His work has been published in numerous national and international media and has been part of various group exhibitions.
