Zaga Arquitectura. Architecture studio founded in 2010 by Nicolás Markuerkiaga and Emilio Fernández, established in Barcelona, ​​Spain. It is founded as a platform for the development of architecture from its multiple facets: public and private work, renovation, public space, competitions, research and teaching.

Nicolás Markuerkiaga. Architect who has maintained a professional office in Barcelona since 1999. In 2010 he founded ZAGA, a studio with which he has carried out numerous works in the field of architecture and urban design. Since 2014 he has been a member of Ryder Alliance, an organization dedicated to exchanging knowledge and coordinating work from offices around the world.

He works as a teacher and researcher at LCI Barcelona, ​​both in the Interior Design Degree and in the Experiential Interior Design Master. He is currently writing a Doctoral Thesis at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.

He has given lectures and presentations about his work at institutions in Europe and South America such as Strathclyde University in Glasgow, Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Cardiff University in Wales or Universidad Finisterrae in Santiago de Chile.

Emilio Fernández. Architect by ETSAV- UPC in 2000, with a Master in Urban Planning and Real Estate Management from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (2006-2008). Co-founder of Zaga Arquitectura.

In 2010, when the studio was founded, he already had a solid track record in the construction and real estate sector. He worked at DryWall from 1992 to 2000 and was Technical Director of the developer Piedras del Pirineo from 2001 to 2009. All this knowledge was fundamental to establishing the values ​​of ZAGA Arquitectura.

Jordi Trias. Architect by ETSAB-UPC in 2001, with a Master's Degree in Architectural Technology. Restoration (UPC) and Postgraduate in Architecture Renovation (UPC Foundation). LEED Green Associate.

Jordi joined ZAGA Arquitectura in 2014 to contribute his solid track record in heritage rehabilitation and conservation over the last 15 years. He is also an experienced BIM manager and responsible for implementing the BIM environment in the practice methodology.

Mariana Plana. She studied architecture at the University of North London and the Universitiat Politècnica de Catalunya, where she graduated in 2001. She joined ZAGA in 2015, incorporating her experience into the area of ​​architecture, rehabilitation and interior design.

Between 2001 and 2005 she collaborated in prestigious offices such as Ravetllat / Ribas in Barcelona or the Architectural Research Unit led by Florian Beigel in London. In 2005 she founded RHP arquitectes, developing important projects for the company BestSeller, among which the showrooms located in Madrid, Barcelona, ​​Bilbao and Vigo stand out, as well as the company's headquarters, located in Malaga.
