Wuyuan Village Culture Media Co., Ltd. was established in 2006 by architect Wang Wanbin. The studio has been dedicated to rural construction for more than two decades, during which it has led a dozen reference projects in rural revitalization and development of cultural tourism, paying special attention to the genius loci of the projects.
Wang Wanbin has consolidated his career by supporting the interaction between art, the countryside and life in a methodology based on the wisdom of traditional Chinese gardens and local culture. Through a holistic approach from both a physical and spiritual perspective, he deconstructs and reinterprets traditional cultural elements with a contemporary vision.
Wang Wanbin was named as one of the “Top Ten Designers of the Year” in the 2022 Most Beautiful Public Cultural Space Competition. His projects have received the award of “Most Beautiful Rural Public Cultural Space” several times. Huangling, a masterpiece of ancient village revitalization that he managed for fifteen years, was selected as “Best Tourist Village” by the United Nations World Tourism Organization in 2023 and was exhibited at Frankfurter Buchmesse.
