His creative and artistic journey begins in a laboratory made from Air boxes (2000), analyzing the domestic adventure of the avant-garde. In the Spanish Pavilion of the 8th Venice Biennale, he proposes future ways of living and in the Barcelona Forum he exhibits a proposal for 400,000 homes. In the methodological route, he designs a matrix of creative reason: Ideo-Logic: Notebook of equations (2006).

As Dean of the San Jorge University (2005/09) he develops the implementation of An Academic Itinerary (Illinois 2011) and the design of a new Campus (FAD 2008) that accommodates New spaces for Higher Education (Board of Chancellors of Panama 2007)). He was Associate Editor of the International Design Magazine, and since 2008 he is a member of the Advisory Council of the Architecture magazine and international adviser of the PLAN 2013 of the School of Architecture of the University of Costa Rica. He is a professor at the University of Zaragoza and a visiting professor at IE University.

Francisco Javier Quintana de Uña (Pamplona, 1964) combines academic commitment with a consolidated professional career in the field of architecture. He has a Master's Degree in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Doctorate in Architecture from the University of Navarra, where his doctoral thesis won the extraordinary award. Subsequently, he has worked as a design studio professor at the University of Navarra and has acted as a design jury at other Spanish and international institutions. His research work includes numerous publications and collaborations, especially in the field of high-rise architecture.

Since 2007, he has assumed the position of Dean of IE School of Architecture and Design, the new international and innovative school of IE University (Instituto de Empresa), based in Segovia and Madrid, Spain. At the same time, he has been director of the Rafael Escolá Foundation (an institution that promotes professional excellence through research in the fields of Architecture and Engineering). Javier Quintana is the representative in Spain of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat of Chicago and is a member of the Board of the Columbia University Club of Spain.

Taller básico de arquitectura has developed numerous projects throughout Spain such as the New Public School for Early Childhood and Primary Education "Ave María-Patxi Larrainzar" in Pamplona in 2007 where the volumetric design gives the project a great personality such as the Public School de Foix in Zizur Mayor or the Faculty of Communication of the University of San Jorge in Zaragoza, both from that same year.

In 2010, they designed the Biokilab Laboratories in Vitoria-Gasteiz, where they put gravity to the test where the volume sits on piles with an arrangement far from the conventional, generating an interesting volume. Also noteworthy is the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of San Jorge in Villanueva de Gállego in 2012 or the Infant School in Haro in 2014, the latter has won different awards such as the International Chicago Athenaum award or the ICONIC Awards granted by the German Design Council, among others.

Taller básico de arquitectura is a studio from Navarra that tries to know and understand the space, knows how to adapt to the terrain, and make its projects integrate and dialogue with the environment, generating a synthesis and communication between intervention and what exists. The treatment of volume will be a fundamental factor in your projects, transforming them to generate attractive spaces.
