María José Pizarro and Óscar Rueda have been professionally associated since 1996 and together they run Rueda Pizarro Arquitectos, an architecture studio based in Madrid.
María José Pizarro is Professor at the ETSAM, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid, and currently she holds the position of Academic Secretary of the Department of Architectural Projects. Her doctoral thesis obtained a mention in the IX Ibero-American Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism and was a finalist in the IX edition of the Arquia national competition for doctoral theses in Architecture in 2013.
Óscar Rueda is PhD Contract Professor of Architectural Projects at the ETSAM, Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid. His doctoral thesis won First Prize in the IX edition of the Arquia national competition for doctoral theses in Architecture in 2013 and has been awarded at the X Ibero-American Biennial. He is Academic Secretary of the MPAA Master of Advanced Architectural Projects.
