MICROSCAPE architecture urban design AA. Architecture practice founded in 2006 by two siblings: Patrizia Pisaniello and Saverio Pisaniello in Lucca, Italy. Both show interest in urban and landscape architectural research, artistic and photographic communication, or writing and teaching among other fields of architecture. Both maintain teaching activity in several faculties of architecture in Italy.
Their architectural research and professional practice are developed at multiple scales to investigate the relationships between nature and construction. MICROSCAPE has a solid international reputation thanks to the prestigious awards obtained in Italy, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Slovenia and China.
In 2009, the Piazza del Municipio in Povegliano was selected for the fifth edition of the Premio Piccinato. In 2010 MICROSCAPE was selected as the best European studio under 40 years old. Since 2012 his graphic production has become part of the NAM of the Accademia Nazioanle di S. Luca. He exhibited his work in the context of the events of the Italian Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo 2010 and at the Italian Pavilion: Arcipelago Italia of the 16th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale 2018.
