Loumeau
Alice Loumeau is a French-Canadian architect, researcher, and cartographer who conducts spatial investigations through writing and cartography, exploring the shifting territories of the Anthropocene.
Alice Loumeau graduated from the Master's in Experimentation in Political Arts at the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). She has since worked as an architect in Rotterdam at OMA/AMO, in Paris and London, and is involved in exhibitions, publications, and residencies, including one at Villa Albertine in Marfa, Texas, USA, in the fall of 2024.
In 2022, she founded MATTERS with her partner Valentin Bansac, a collective that explores new territorial narratives through creative research, texts, installations, and exhibitions. Fostering interdisciplinary alliances and media accumulation, their research portrays the interrelation of human and nonhuman trajectories through political controversies.
