Jiménez

David Jiménez studied Fine Arts at Universidad Complutense, Madrid, and has devoted over 30 years to personal photographic projects. His works, in the form of books, exhibitions, and audiovisual presentations, have been showcased in numerous Spanish cities and abroad, including prominent venues such as the Nederlands Foto Instituut in Rotterdam, the Arles Photography Festival, and the National Library of Colombia in Bogotá. Among his achievements are the Revelation Photographer Award at PHotoEspaña 99, the Arts Award of the City of Madrid in 2008, and an artist residency at the Real Academia de España in Rome. With eight monographic books published to date, his work is represented in various Spanish public and private collections, including those of the Fundación MAPFRE, the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, and the DKV collection, among others. He regularly conducts workshops and lectures on the creative process in photography both nationally and internationally. David Jiménez’s photobook Infinito is considered one of the most influential photobooks in recent decades and included in Martin Parr and Gerry Badger’s History of the Photobook, volume II.
