Fundación Arquitectura Contemporánea
The Fundación Arquitectura Contemporánea was born in 2002 as the initiative of a series of professionals concerned about the gap between contemporary architecture and society. It is therefore a private foundation, although oriented towards the public projection of a determining activity on the living conditions of citizens.
The headquarters of the Fundación Arquitectura Contemporánea has been set in Córdoba, although in achieving its objectives, it carries out its activity without geographical or disciplinary limitation, to promote the establishment of a broad and plural cultural debate.
There are three main lines of activity -research, dissemination, and creation-, having achieved important recognitions in all of them: award for the best cultural foundation in Andalusia (AFA 2016), International Spanish Architecture Award (CSCAE 2015), Best Practice to improve living conditions (UNESCO, 2014) or First Mediterranean Landscape Prize (PAYS Med Urban, 2011), among others.
