FBD Arquitectura y Diseño Urbano. Architecture practice led by Felipe Bermúdez Durana, a Colombian architect, urban designer, and artist based in New Jersey.

His design practice started in 2005, working on architectural design projects at every scale, from urbanism to interior design, usually as a leader of multidisciplinary teams. He is a modernist at heart and places a lot of emphasis on tectonics, functionality, and craft.

He has always drawn, painted, and explored sculpture. It was art that led him to architecture in the first place. In 2005, he got to work in Doris Salcedo’s studio as part of a team of artists, craftsmen, and designers working on a large-scale art installation in Torino, Italy.

In 2010, He won a Fulbright Scholarship, which helped him get a Master’s in Urban Design at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. After his return, he continued to develop my practice, gaining commissions by participating in private and public design competitions. After this experience, he started teaching architecture studios at Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano and Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá.

He started making geometric drawings in 2016 in parallel with my design work. In 2020, he moved to the USA to start a new adventure, and in 2023, he decided to start working full-time as an artist. His work draws inspiration from his design work and evolves constantly as he continues this journey.
