fardaa
fardaa is a London-based architecture and urban design studio, founded by Edward Farleigh-Dastmalchi in 2019, working in a diverse range of projects and contexts throughout the UK.
Their approach focuses on the specificities of place, users, uses and communities, whilst simultaneously addressing universal themes of social and environmental responsibility. They believe that the design process should be a holistic endeavour, considering aesthetic, economic, poetic, ethical, qualitative, social, tectonic and environmental concerns at once and without bias.
Before forming the practice, Edward worked at a number of leading practices including East, Karakusevic Carson, David Chipperfield, and Alison Brooks. In addition to overseeing the practice, Edward teaches an undergraduate architecture design studio at Kingston School of Art, London, and is a member of the Steering Group for the Finsbury Park & Stroud Green Neighbourhood Plan.
