BARRIO PERAIRE Arquitectes is an architecture and landscape studio led by Berta Barrio and Josep Peraire. Since 2010, the studio develops public and private commissions for building, landscape, public space and urban strategy, providing a rigorous solution in each project adapted to the characteristics and needs of each place.
In 2012, the studio is awarded with the 1st Prize in the International Competition “16 Portes de Collserola. Porta 7 Vallcarca - Penitents“ for the urban-landscape development of a Barcelona's bordering area close to Collserola Natural Park.
In 2010 the study was awarded with the 1st Prize of the EUROPAN10 International Competition for the Revitalization proposal for the Vega del Río Túria as it passes through the city of Teruel.
Among their works carried out, Park and Civic Center of Plaza Sóller in Barcelona, Sant Martí Church Square in Avià, Sant Esteve Sesrovires Master Plan Public Space, Strategic Plan for the urban and landscape development of La Vega of the River Túria in Teruel and Can Llaurador Cultural Center.
Between 2001 and 2010, the works carried out by Berta Barrio, together with Sergi Godia, won the 1st Prize at Mostra d'Arquitectura Catalana-Barcelona (2014- Aeronautical Cultural Center at Barcelona Airport) and were finalists in III Mediterranean Landscape Awards (2011- Park and new public library Can Llaurador in Teià), Wan Awards Residential (2011- VPO housing tower in Plaza Europa de L'Hospitalet), Catalunya Construcció Awards (2008- Nova St. Peter's School in Barcelona ), Rosa Barba European Landscape Award and FAD Awards (2001/2002- Pedestrian connection over Barcelona's Gran Vía).
