AQ8 Arquitectura

Alberto García Marín, was born in 1965 in Brisbane. He studied architecture at the Higher Technical School of Architecture of the University of Seville. Since 2006 he has been a professor of architectural projects at the ETSA of Malaga and professor of the Master of Architectural Projects, Environmental Design and New Technologies, having participated as main researcher in various R + D + i Projects related to Industrialization and Efficiency in Architecture .

In 1992 he was co-founder of the AG Arquitectura studio, and since 2002 he directs the AQ8 Arquitectura studio, whose work has focused on the residential area and public facilities, having been awarded in various public and private competitions. Among the most outstanding projects are two collective housing buildings awarded by the Official College of Architects of Malaga in the 2018 and 2020 editions; and the Zoco Cultural project, “M.A.S. Málaga All Space ”, awarded as a finalist and selected for the second phase, in the 2017 international ideas competition for the Astoria-Victoria cinema plot promoted by the Malaga City Council.
