Anastasia Samoylova
Anastasia Samoylova was born in Moscow, USSR, in 1984. She currently lives and works in Miami, Florida. She's work moves between documentary photography, studio practice and installation.
Samoylova completed a master's degree in Environmental Design at the Russian State University for the Humanities in Moscow, and then another in Interdisciplinary Art Studies at Bradley University, Peoria (Illinois). In 2019 and 2022 she published, respectively, her projects -FloodZone- and -Floridas- in the Steidl publishing house, with great international repercussions. In 2021, Samoylova won the first edition of the KBr Photo Award.
His works have been seen, for example, at the Kunst Haus Wien in Vienna, the Kunsthalle Mannheim, Germany, and the Multimedia Art Museum in Moscow, and are part of the collections of the Pérez Art Museum in Miami, the Museum of Contemporary Photography in Chicago and the Wilhelm-Hack Museum in Ludwigshafen, Germany.
