Office X. Sara Maduro - Raffaele Sarubbo

Office X is an architecture firm founded in 2016 by Sara Maduro and Raffaele Sarubbo, based in Lisbon and Rome.

The design practice of Office X varies depending on the project addressed. Considering each case as unique, the project takes as its starting point the analysis of the boundary conditions: economic, dimensional, formal, historical, urban, orographic, landscape. In an independent way from the scale, the research of the study aims at the creation of new spaces that are conceived according to the relationships that are established in the designed element and in the spaces existing before the project.

Sara Maduro. Architect, graduated in Architectural Studies and Masters in Architecture with specialization in Urban and Territorial Planning by the Faculty of Architecture of the Technical University of Lisbon. After practicing in Lisbon, he founded Office X in 2016 with Raffaele Sarubbo, working between Rome and Lisbon.

Raffaele Sarubbo. He graduated in Building Engineering - Architecture at UNICAL. In 2014 he won the Urban Sustainable Architecture III grant, of the National Institute of Architecture (INARCH). After collaborating with some architecture firms between Lisbon and Rome, he founded in 2016 Office X with Sara Maduro, carrying out projects between Italy and Portugal.
