Livni Architect
Pedro Livni Architect. Pedro Livni graduates as an architect from the University of the Republic in 2002 and in 2011 he obtained a Master's degree from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Currently in the Faculty of Architecture of the University of the Republic, Uruguay, is Associate Professor in the Department of Teaching of Draft and Architecture Project and Associate Professor in the Chair of History of Contemporary Architecture. Since 2002 he has headed up his own architecture office.
He has received several awards, highlighting those obtained by work carried out at the International Biennial of Architecture in Miami (2005), the International Biennial of Architecture of Quito (2006) and the second Prize in the International Public Contest "Sanatorium Banco de Seguros del Estado" . In 2016, he was selected for the Mies Crown Hall Americas Prize (MCHAP 2014/15) for the work "casa en la calle Libertad". He is a founding partner, together with Gonzalo Carrasco, of the architecture critic VOSTOKPROJECT.
In 2012 he was selected curator of the Uruguay pavilion for the XIII International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennial. In 2013 he was invited as a lecturer for the XIV International Architecture Biennial of Buenos Aires. He has also been guest professor and lecturer in several foreign universities, highlighting the School of Architecture and Urban Studies of the Torcuato Di Tella University, Buenos Aires, Argentina, the School of Architecture, Design and Urban Studies of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the ETSAB, School of Architecture of Barcelona UPC, Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the Faculty of Architecture of the Andrés Bello University, Santiago, Chile.
