A pendulum harmony crystallized in the choreographic installation Pendulum by Lucy Guerin as a dialogue of abstraction between Zen tranquility and Western agitation.
The scene, thirty-nine bells suspended and illuminated from the inside, dialogue with the dance of seven dancers, is as reflective as it is symbolic.
The 17th International Festival of Contemporary Dance ran from 13 to 29 July 2023, directed by Wayne McGregor. The artists selected for Biennale Danza 2023 are movement alchemists. Among them was the Pendulum performance by Lucy Guerin, and Matthias Schack-Arnott.

Bells also serve as speakers, structuring a square space with metallic entities that seem to dance in harmony with humans or threaten them with their movements. Its pendulum movements describe the search for links between opposites, while Matthias Schack-Arnott's music navigates between the gongs of Tibetan instruments and the sounds of bells.
