Joaquín Alvado Bañón (1965) is an architect from the Higher Technical School of Architecture of Valencia (1990) and a doctor of architecture from EPSV (2005). He is a full professor and researcher in the Area of Architectural Projects at the University of Alicante, Spain; visiting professor at the Universities of Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Baku, Munich, Dubai, Tokyo, Sydney and Istanbul; and lecturer and professor of Architectural Projects in workshops developed in different countries.
As an architect, his architectural and urban designs have received several national and international awards in competitions. His work has been exhibited and published worldwide (translated into more than twelve languages). He worked with Pritzker Price Toyo Ito as a “Project Architect” in the Relaxation Park in Torrevieja and his “K house” has been selected for the X Spanish Architecture Biennale organized by the Architects Association of Spain. His last works have been nominated for the A+A Awards (Garden House), for de F.I.B. Outstanding Structures Price 2014 (Kiss Bridge), and others. He has been officially invited to the 15th International Architecture Exhibition La Bienal di Venezia 2016 (Time, Space and Existence). Architect Avenida del Mediterraneo, Benidorm.
