Atelier Data is an award winning architecture collective made up of an enthusiastic and multidisciplinary team, based in Lisbon since 2005. Their work focuses on discovering strategies in order to define clear and innovative solutions to real problems, working mostly in architecture, urban design, landscape architecture and interior design. Each of Atelier Data’s projects is the engine of its own investigation, allowing for a critical, creative and innovative approach. Diagrammatic and elementary representations are both the outcome of a process and a means of diagnosis, research and communication of new solutions.
Marta Frazao. Born in Covilha in 1978. Lives and works in Lisbon. Co-founder of Atelier Data in 2005. Currently engaged in the Architecture PHD from Évora University since 2011. 2007 - Master in "Collective Housing" - Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Scholarship from the Housing Department of Madrid. Graduated from the Faculdade de Arquitectura - Universidade Técnica de Lisboa in 2002. Collaboration with Atelier Actar Arquitectura in Barcelona in the project and theory investigation field for a period of 2 years. Collaborated with Atelier CVDB Arquitectos Lda in the project department for a period of 3 years. Part of her curriculum is the participation in the workshop in Material Design, Visions for a possible future, Escola Técnica de Imagem e Comunicacao (2004) and collaboration with the architects Cristina Verissimo and Diogo Burnay in the international workshop on "Arquitecturas Necessarias" promoted by the International University of Catalonia, Barcelona.
Filipe Rodrigues. Born in Lisbon in 1977. Lives and works in Lisbon. Co-founder of Atelier Data in 2005. Graduated from the Faculdade de Arquitectura - Universidade Técnica de Lisboa in 2002. Collaborated with Atelier Troufa Real Arquitecto in the Project Department for period of 4 years. Collaborated with the company Ikano Portugal, LS Construçoes SA and Incenso Lda in the Building Management and OnSite Fiscalization department for a period of 1 year in collaboration with Architect Alberto Caetano. Part of his curriculum are the participation in the program Vector E - Economic Enhancement of Science and Technology, Organization and Planning of Business for New Technology Based Companies, an initiative of the Centre for Innovation, Technology and Development Policies, IN +, Instituto Superior Técnico and Office of Entrepreneurship IST (2007-2008), the Diploma in Tropical Architecture from the Atelier Troufa Real Arquitecto (2004) and the workshop in Material Design, Visions for a possible future, Technical School of Image and Communication (2004).
Inês Vicente. Born in Lisbon in 1978. Lives and works in Lisbon. Co-founder of Atelier Data in 2005. Graduated from the Faculdade de Arquitectura - Univeridade Técnica de Lisboa in 2003. Collaborated with Atelier Atitude Virtual in the field of Three-Dimensional Modelling and Institutional Film Production for a period of 2 years. Collaborated with the companies GOC SA and Claro e Simoes Lda, in the project department and on-site project follow-up for a period of 2 years. An important part of her curriculum is the participation in the Course of Entrepreneurship with Scientific and Technological Basis, Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestao, Universidade Técnica de Lisboa (2008), in the Program Vector E - Economic Enhancement of Science and Technology, Organization and Business Planning for New Technology-based companies, an initiative of the Center for Innovation, Technology and Development-Politics, IN +, Instituto Superior Técnico and the Office of Entrepreneurship IST (2007-2008) and the intensive course in Graphic Design at AR.CO - Center for Arts & Visual Communication.
