Runners up of the 60th edition of the FAD Architecture Awards were presented

The jury of the FAD Architecture and Interior Design Awards, constituted by Anna Bach, presiding, accompanied by Ricardo Carvalho, Pau de Solà-Morales, Cristina Dominguez, Carmen Moreno and Susana Pavón Rodríguez, selected the 26 runner up works from a set of 392 projects that have been presented to the prizes in the different modalities.

In addition to the FAD Architecture Awards, FAD International and FAD Thought and Critics awards have also presented the finalists. The awards ceremony will take place on June 7, 2018 within the context of the Barcelona Design Week, which this year is jointly organized by the FAD (Promotion of Arts and Design) and the BCD (Barcelona Design Center).

In this new edition, 484 works have been presented, of which 148 correspond to the category of Architecture, 143 to Interior Design, 29 to City and Landscape, 74 to Ephemeral Interventions, 56 to Thought and Criticism and 36 to the International FAD Awards.

The FAD International Awards, which celebrate its 5th edition, have the same categories as the FAD Awards, as well as a jury of its own composed of Louisa Hutton as president and the members Josep Ferrando and Diane Gray. Of the 36 works submitted to the International FAD Awards, 6 finalists have been chosen.

. The 13th edition of the FAD Thought and Critics Awards brings together the best texts dedicated to architecture published during 2017. An international prestige jury composed of Carmen Rodríguez, Guillermo Carabí and Tomoko Sakamoto, has been commissioned to choose the 5 finalist works and 3 mentions among the 56 works presented.
