969 Arquitectos is an architecture and design studio founded in 2018 with a team of more than 25 people. The main architects and founding partners are Fernando Pérez del Pulgar Mancebo, Leopoldo González Jiménez and Juan Francisco Parilla Sánchez.
Since its foundation, 969 Arquitectos has won 11 prizes such as the J5 Prize of the Andalusian Regional Government for Young Architects, the Europan prize of the European Commission, the winning project for the Residence for New Creators in Malaga, the winning project for an Eco-School in Almendralejo, the winning project for a Building for Rental Housing organized by the Municipal Housing Institute of Malaga and the winning project for the Laser 4 Research Building for the University of Malaga, both of which have already been planned.
Fernando Pérez del Pulgar Mancebo, currently a Doctor of Architecture, has been an architect at the School of Architecture of Seville since 2001. He has taught at the School of Architecture of the University of Seville and from 2005 at the recently inaugurated School of Architecture of Malaga. He has been a guest lecturer at several universities in Europe. He has also been part of the management of the ETSA Malaga for 4 years and has coordinated the area of architectural projects.
Leopoldo González Jiménez is another co-founding partner of 969 Arquitectos specializing in urban planning, landscaping, public facilities, and single-family homes.
Juan Francisco Parilla Sánchez has been an architect at the Seville School of Architecture since 2002 and received his first prize, while still a student, in an ideas competition for his project for a Mobile Interpretation Centre for the Salt Flats in Chiclana de la Frontera.
