The exhibition presents the first monographic show in Europe of the work of Mathias Klotz from Santiago de Chile. He is currently one of South America´s most successful international architects. Alongside his work as an architect for over twenty-five years he is also active in the field of film making and photography.
Klotz’s works are characterised by their structural clarity and correspond with perfect conceptual rigour to the landscape. His stylistic devices are framed views, light and shadow, as well as a reduced palette of materials consisting mostly of timber and exposed concrete.
The focal point of the exhibition is a series of monochrome photographs, complemented by pencil drawings and wooden models.
